Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23; Yusor Mohammad, 21; and Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha’s, 19, lives were tragically cut short by an anti theist atheist. Details are quite sketchy right now as the news networks have been slow to cover this story.
As an atheist and an anti theist, I must speak out in the strongest terms possible against the thinking that taking innocent lives is in any way part of the discourse we engage in in a civilized society. I don’t support or condone any anti theist who would act in this way.
My thoughts are with the friends and family of the young people during this tragedy and loss. I hope that movement atheism will take this opportunity to extend a hand to the family and be a help and support for their needs during this time.
